This is a 10” x 4” round Nantucket Lightship Basket tray; it is constructed of hand-milled cherry hardwood with premium fine 1.75mm weavers. It has a round rim with triple lashing and features a 1 and ¾” round natural ivory scrimshaw of flowers and marine life in its interior base and a ¾” inch natural ivory scrimshaw artist’s medallion on its underside base. The basket is dated and signed.
